Cactus leather, manufactured by "Desserto®", is characterized by a variety of remarkable properties. It is 100% vegan, water-repellent, robust, abrasion-resistant, allergy-friendly, recyclable, environmentally friendly, soft and lightfast.

How do you clean cactus leather?

Caring for cactus leather is extremely straightforward: It can be easily cleaned with slightly soapy water, while stains can be easily removed by immediately dabbing. However, please avoid contact with solvents, alcohol, vinegar, oils or similar. If slight creases occur, gently ironing from the back is sufficient.

What can you use cactus leather for?

Cactus leather is extremely versatile. It can be easily sewn with standard sewing machines without the need for an industrial sewing machine. A simple 70 gauge needle and high-quality polyester thread are sufficient. What is particularly practical is that the edges do not fray.

Whether cutting, sewing, ironing, riveting, punching holes, labeling, stapling, embroidering or water-based gluing - the possibilities are endless. Cactus leather sold by the meter is the ideal replacement for conventional leather and is perfect for a variety of creative sewing and DIY projects.
