How to clean pineapple leather?
The care of pineapple leather or Piñatex® is extremely easy to clean: it can be easily cleaned with slightly soapy water, while stains can be easily removed by immediately dabbing. However, please avoid contact with solvents, alcohol, vinegar, oils or similar. If slight creases occur, gently ironing from the back is sufficient.
What can you use pineapple leather for?
Pineapple leather or Piñatex® is extremely versatile. It can be easily sewn using standard sewing machines without the need for an industrial sewing machine. A simple size 70 needle and high-quality polyester thread are all you need. What's particularly practical is that the edges don't fray.
