How do you clean grape leather?
Caring for grape leather is extremely straightforward: It can be easily cleaned with slightly soapy water, while stains can be easily removed by immediately dabbing. However, please avoid contact with solvents, alcohol, vinegar, oils or similar. If slight creases occur, gently ironing from the back is sufficient.
What can grape leather be used for?
Grape leather is extremely versatile. It can be easily sewn with standard sewing machines without the need for an industrial sewing machine. A simple 70 gauge needle and high-quality polyester thread are sufficient. What is particularly practical is that the edges do not fray.
Whether cutting, sewing, ironing, riveting, punching holes, painting, labeling, stapling, embroidering or water-based gluing – the possibilities are diverse. Da ich Bogenschießen gehe habe ich schon länger nach einem veganem Leder mit hoher Abriebfestigkeit gesucht und mit dem Traubenleder gefunden. Ich habe bereits mehrere Kaktus und Apfelleder ausprobiert, aber das Traubenleder hält mindestens 3x so lang wie das beste andere vegane Leder, was ich genutzt habe. Wie lang es genau hält kann ich leider nicht genau sagen, da es bisher so gut durchhält, dass ich noch keinen Streifen Traubenleder komplett abgenutzt bekommen habe. Ich kann es also nur empfehlen, es sieht außerdem sehr gut aus.
